Miyatake&#8217;s works include very famous titles such as &#8220;Super Dimension Fortress MACROSS&#8221; and &#8220;Bye-Bye Jupiter&#8221;, and he is now living in Yokosuka city. There will be about 50 original drawings.</p>

This is a popular annual event introduces a wide variety of products and services of enterprises located in Yokosuka city. Of course, there will be a lot of food stands of superb local foods. In addition, there will be street performers, and fun events will be held on the outdoor stage. We hope you fully enjoy the festival!</p>

However, on August 5 of this year, one of the naval ensigns was returned to MIKASA by a sincere, courageous 91-year-old ex-serviceman who lives in Arizona, mediated by a non-profit humanitarian effort &#8220;OBON 2015&#8243; and US Marine Raider foundation. This naval ensign is largest-sized (3.4 meters by 5.2 meters), and it is thought to be the one belonged to Battleship ASAHI according to the records.</p>

This event is created for elementary school and junior high school students, offering a variety of events such as photo session in military uniform, hammock, stamp rally, and traditional Japanese hand fan making. Also, there will be some special attractions limitedly offered during the period!</p>

<p>Toro Nagashi is a Japan&#8217;s traditional event for ending Obon. People release candle-lit lanterns into river to guide spirits of ancestors that revisited their family in Obon back to the other world. Mikasa Park&#8217;s Toro Nagashi started its history in 1946, and this is its 70th event. Approximately 1,300 lanterns will be released from 10 fishing boats on the coast by the park. In addition, sutra chanting Buddhist memorial service will be offered by collaboration of 18 temples from Yokosuka Chuo Bukkyo-kai.</p>
